Premature Ovarian Failure

Menopause does not discriminate against age! Hear Annabel’s experience of being told, aged 15, she has premature ovarian failure. It is now more commonly referred to as premature ovarian insufficiency (POI). Simply put, POI is the term used to describe when a woman's ovaries stop working normally before she reaches the age of 40. POI is associated with reduction in fertility, and for many young women it can be a devastating diagnosis. Annabel has never had a natural period. Listen to her story.

The Daisy Network is a fantastic charity that support people with POI.
